An introduction to FinRAG, its futures focus, and the trading workflows it brings together.
In this article

We started building FinRAG around a practical question: how do you bring the parts of a trading operation together into a system you can understand and manage?

A chart shows the market. A strategy describes a decision. An execution connection sends an order. Around those pieces sit account settings, stored data, risk rules, monitoring, and the work of keeping everything running.

FinRAG is the platform we have been building to connect that workflow.

It brings market data, processing, AI integration, execution, risk controls, and an operational dashboard into one trading stack, supported by the engineering needed to implement and operate it.

What the platform brings together

The market workspace helps you follow price and market context. The Operation Center brings account subscriptions, settings, and system status into view. The Trading Operator exposes orders, fills, positions, and execution activity.

Those views serve different questions. What is happening in the market? What is the trading process configured to do? What actually happened on the account?

Being able to move between those questions is central to the product. A useful operation needs a way to connect a decision with its execution and inspect the result.

The current implementation focuses on futures workflows connected through NinjaTrader. That gives us a concrete starting point for demonstrations and scoped projects. Compatibility with a particular broker, account, or deployment needs to be assessed for that project.

The people we want to help

Our initial focus is small trading teams and professional traders who already have a trading process and need engineering around it.

Their problem might be fragmented account visibility, a difficult integration, repeated setup work, or an operating workflow that depends too heavily on one person. A useful first conversation starts with the task they are trying to complete and where their current tools make it difficult.

FinRAG combines the platform with implementation and support. An engagement can begin with requirements, continue into a bounded pilot, and develop into a configured deployment with agreed ongoing maintenance.

Where we are today

FinRAG is in beta. The connected components and dashboard provide a foundation for showing the platform, while deployment, recovery, and live validation continue to mature.

We want to make that work visible through walkthroughs, recorded demonstrations, and planned operating sessions on YouTube and Kick. Viewers should be able to see the environment being used and understand what each demonstration establishes.

The aim is to make the platform understandable enough that a trader can ask a useful question and a team can assess whether it fits their operation.

If you are building a futures trading workflow, tell us what needs to connect and what is difficult to operate today. That is where a practical FinRAG project begins.
